Barmby Moor

Clare Wilson is a genealogist and is the Association’s Archivist. She has researched the individuals buried there, many of whom were associated with 102 Squadron

She says "they are a lot more than just names and Dates etched in stone... these men served, fought and died for their country"

Clare has kindly given permission for us to provide links from our website to her research here.

The Village of Barmby Moor lies to the north-west of Pocklington Airfield. The churchyard of St Catherine’s church has War Graves including the resting places of a number of airmen from 102 Squadron.

St Catherine’s Church holds special services for the 102 Association during Reunion Weekends and on Remembrance Sunday. Following the service in church the congregation moves to the War Graves where a short service, including laying of wreaths and a minutes silence, is held. Photographs of some of these events can be seen in the “Past Events” section of this website or by clicking here
